To be Jewish isn’t just a choice, it’s a lifestyle. I am proud to be Jewish not because of the eight days of presents or the chocolate covered matzah, but because I can turn to my community when I am in need of help. When I go to services I know that people are looking after me and caring for me. To be Jewish is to express yourself and for you to know that your community is there to support you. If I am blessed with a family of my own I hope to pass down a Jewish education as well as have them celebrate their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and hope to continue Jewish traditions as well.
