DESCRIPTION:Kol Ami has formed an “Israel Connection” committee with th
 e express purpose of bringing a series of programs focused on Israel-relat
 ed topics of interest to our congregation.\n\nFor its inaugural program\, 
 we are lucky to have Kasa Bainesay-Harbor\, Deputy Consul General at the I
 sraeli Consulate in Miami. \n\nKasa will share the story of her family’s
  journey from Ethiopia to Israel and will also discuss the current state o
 f the Ethiopian community in Israel.&nbsp\;\n\nThe program will take place
  at the end of a shortened Shabbat service.&nbsp\; After a short presentat

  of the New Israel Fund (www.nif.org) will speak about the organization’
 s social justice initiatives in Israel. For those unfamiliar with the NIF\
 , its mission is to help Israel live up to its founders’ vision of a soc
 iety that ensures complete equality to all its inhabitants and to advance
